West of England Works
The West of England Works project is an exciting partnership which aims to help unemployed and economically inactive people in the West of England find employment.
Led by Weston College, the partnership includes a range of voluntary and community organisations based in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and Bath and North East Somerset. It will support at least 1537 young people and adults into gaining employment through a community-based support programme.
The project is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme, and has received £6 million of funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.
Counselling service for the West of England Works
It is our aim to make participants feel a real benefit from attending counselling and we do our best to ensure all feel understood, listened to and work on issues are causing difficulties and distress. The counsellors offer a confidential and safe environment to support participants to express feelings, thoughts and attitudes freely without the fear of being judged or made to feel guilty.
Our structured support aims are so individual can get a better understanding of their self and situation which are causing problems-through this approach we offer a supportive and affirming environment and invite the individual to make steps to bring about positive change or find ways to accept which cannot be changed. We offer our variety of ways in working which are tailored around the needs of the person where they can gain different tools and strategies to benefit their emotional and mental wellbeing .
We have some great counsellors on the project and our dedicate and passionate about what they do and our supplied by Nicola Perry counselling and supervision Ltd.
All the counsellors on the project are qualified, experienced, have insurance and will have suitable premises in to see participants.
All counsellors hold a minimum of Diploma level qualification and be a minimum registered members British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and the National Counselling Society (NCS)
