Counselling Supervision
In counselling supervision, I offer a creative, accepting environment to help you develop your practice, which can be challenging at times, too. This naturally leads to those aha moments which will shed the light of understanding onto your work.
I offer both individual and group clinical supervision and have experience of supervising counsellors in training as well as those with an established practice. I can supervise managers, staff or people where reflective practice would benefit their working life.
If you work with an agency, I can provide supervision to help your staff restore their energies, pause and reflect on work, fostering an environment to create a fresh perspective.
My Approach
My approach is humanistic, constructive and down-to-earth. I am practical and straightforward, putting you and your clients’ physical, mental and emotional wellbeing at the heart of our working relationship.
Together we can work in a creative way, which engages you and supports the development of your practice, whilst safeguarding your wellbeing as well as your clients’. Together we can facilitate your learning, understanding, growth and development.
Models of Supervision
As your supervisor, it is important for me to be flexible, so I use an integrative approach. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework for good practice and have found both Hawkins and Shohet seven-eyed process model, and Inskipp and Proctor’s functional model, offer space to reflect on client work from different perspectives whilst ensuring that the wellbeing of both the supervisee and the client is at the centre of the work.
